Speaking & Conferences

I believe the most powerful professional learning happens when research, real classroom experience, and practical ideas come together.

With more than a decade of experience in STEM education, I bring the perspective of a practicing high school science and computer science educator, curriculum developer, and NSF-funded researcher. My work spans Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, interdisciplinary STEM, project-based learning, and the integration of computational thinking into science education.

As a Co-Principal Investigator for the NSF-funded CS4ME initiative, I work alongside educators, researchers, and industry partners to explore how computer science can be meaningfully integrated across existing curriculum and translated into practical strategies teachers can actually use. My broader experience includes NSF-supported science education research, NASA educator programs, STEM curriculum and program development, and mentoring students through authentic engineering challenges, including the USM CubeSat Competition.

I’m available for conference presentations, educator workshops, professional development, panels, podcast and media conversations, and other speaking opportunities centered on STEM and science education.

Topics I can speak on include computer science integration in science classrooms; practical applications of AI, coding, and computational thinking in education; project- and inquiry-based STEM learning; building engaging high school science experiences; research-practice partnerships; interdisciplinary STEM curriculum; and creating pathways that help students see themselves in STEM.
